We’re heading to UCISA DISC26 on 7–8 October 2026 to talk about what happens when university infrastructure and security teams work more closely together.
This year’s theme, Strength in Collaboration, feels timely. Campus networks are being asked to support more: connected teaching, research, student services and new technologies across increasingly complex estates. At the same time, security teams need the visibility and capacity to spot threats and respond quickly, including outside normal working hours. Neither team can tackle those demands in isolation.
At the Block stand, we’ll be talking about two ways we help universities move forward.

We’re looking forward to hearing how institutions are bringing these disciplines together in practice. The DISC26 programme covers issues we know university teams are grappling with: keeping critical services running, monitoring systems proactively, securing open and decentralised campuses, and making the case for security investment with evidence. We’re particularly interested in the conversations about shared ownership and the gaps that can appear between teams, tools and shifts.
